Organising a garage isn’t a universal operation and what works in 1 household wouldn’t necessarily work in another. Before you start to organise your garage you’ll want to empty it completely. This will allow you to see how much space you have and what type of storage you want to use. As you empty it, it might be worth sorting as you go. Sorting usually goes into 3 piles, Keep, Donate and Dump. 

You’ll need a plan, what it is you’re going to store in the garage, you’ll also need to consider the type of storage to keep everything in good condition. Everything should have its place. All tools should have a toolbox or drawer, do you have wall space to hang things like your garden rake and shovel. Liquids should have a shelf or cabinet. Do you need bags, boxes or anything else and don’t forget your labels.
